The corten, rust effect has first attracted interior designers and architects who are into the industrial style and has then become the passion of d-i-y lovers, and is now the perfect fit for everyone looking for a unique, stylish and rustic design.
HOW DO YOU DO RUST EFFECT?
Before if you wanted to get a rusted look you could either get the costly corten steel or try to achieve a similar effect by mixing different colours of decorative paints.
Now rust effect has become more easily achievable thanks to rust-effect paints.
Rust effect paint is a two-step process that gives the look of rusted iron, creating an industrial appearance.
RUST EFFECT PAINT
How does rust effect paint work? Rust effect paint contains real mettalic and iron particles inside and becomes rusty when activated by its oxidizing solution. This means thart rust effect paint actually replicates the natural process of oxidation, in a controlled manner. The end result is an authentic rusty surface, which is extremely realistic to see and feel.
